In a time when the rise of right-wing politics, us-versus-them thinking, conflicts and wars are increasingly affecting society, Spriiing vzw and Stichting Argan are working together on a Small-scale Partnership project funded by Erasmus+ and supported by the National Agency JINT. The aim is to provide a platform for youth workers and socio-cultural professionals where they can develop their skills in connecting communication, strengthen critical thinking, and access practical tools and methods for addressing polarization.

The project gives professionals working in the youth and social sectors the opportunity to strengthen their practice in a safe environment and contribute to a society in which diverse voices can come together and continue to be heard. The partnership builds on a shared vision of an inclusive and respectful future, with communication and empathy at its core.

The importance of youth work

Youth work plays an essential role in our society by providing children and young people with spaces where they can develop, grow and be themselves. These safe environments foster respect for diversity and give young people opportunities to actively contribute to an inclusive society.

Youth work challenges inequality and discrimination and helps build a society in which everyone can feel welcome, valued and heard.
